On a real mill, you enter an approximate tool length and the tool type so the control can choose the right automatic tool-length cycle and search range. Below is the info for the tool currently loaded (read-only in this sim). BEGIN measures true length H on the table setter.
This will home X Y Z, clear G54 and all G43 length offsets (H1…H18), load T1, and clear any alarm. Part setup and challenges stay as they are.
